The Duma is in a hurry to approve the extra -court blocking of sites

The first reading of the bill on the extra -court blocking of sites in the State Duma is scheduled for Tuesday, December 17, the day will be assigned to the adoption of the amendments.

This was reported by Vedomosti with reference to the representative of the apparatus of the State Duma Information Committee. At the end of last week, the committee approved the bill of the deputy from the LDPR Andrei Lugovoi - amendments to the law on information and its protection.

According to Lugovoi, the bill is needed to protect the society from unlawful information, under which calls for mass riots, extremist activity, inciting interethnic and interfaith -rope, participation in terrorist activities and public events conducted in violation of the rules are being fought.

According to the proposed amendments, the guilty resources will be blocked immediately, and not within a few days, as provided for by other laws. The decision to block the sites will be made by the Prosecutor General or his deputies, which, according to the deputy, will exclude abuse.

The blocking will be carried out immediately after the prosecutions of prosecutors to Roskomnadzor, and that - to the communication operators and the hosting provider, on which the resource is located. A working day is given a working day for notification to the site owner about the reasons for blocking the provider, the resource will be unlocked after prohibited information is removed from it.

The Lugovoi bill expands the list of grounds for the extra -court blocking of sites: in 2012, the law on the protection of children from harmful information was adopted, this year the anti -pirate law began to operate.
