The house of Stroyburo is saved

A monument of constructivism, the house of Stroyburo in the Korolev near Moscow received the status of a newly identified monument.

“There will be no 19-story building, the facade and everything that remains should be preserved. The document will be released to NG, ” said the senior researcher at the Research Institute of Theory and History of Architecture and Urban Planning, Director of the Center for Vanguard Alexander Selivanov, on Facebook.

The house of Stroyburo , part of the Architectural ensemble of the Bolshevskaya labor commune (Arch. A.Ya. Langman and L.Z. Cherikover), built in 1928–1935, the Korolev administration was not considered an architectural monument and transferred the land under it to the developer, and the demolition of the building began in November.

Activists of the Royal Branch of the All -Russian Society for the Protection of History and Culture Monuments (VOOPIIK) managed to achieve a decision to set the entire complex to the queue to accept the status of an object of cultural heritage. The initiative was supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Moscow Region.

In mid -November, at a meeting of the Public Chamber, Korolev with the participation of employees of the Ministry of Culture of the Moscow Region, representatives of the public, activists of Verpiyik and mayor Valery Minakov, it was decided to suspend the demolition of the house of Stroyburo.
