"VKontakte" was fined 4 thousand rubles for negative user reviews

The Arbitration Court of the Altai Territory fined VKontakte for 4 thousand rubles for negative reviews of users about Oscar-Sib. The court decision is published in the file cabinet.

In addition to the appointment of a fine, the court ordered VKontakte to delete records that defeat the business reputation of the ITS company. The posts were published in the Oscar -Sib communities - scammers and business ideas in March 2012, Tjournal reports.

The administrator of both communities is a resident of Barnaul Konstantin Teterin, to whom the lawsuit was initially filed. Nevertheless, the judge considered that the administration of the resource should be responsible for negative records on the social network.

"Since the actual use of the site’s resources is impossible without participating in one form or another of the administrator of the domain who is a person who created the appropriate technical conditions for visitors to his Internet resource, the domain owner is responsible for the content of the information posted on such a site."

Georgy Lobushkin refused to answer questions about the fine, refused, referring to the fact that the company does not comment on the decision of the courts.
