The Tower "The Federation" is one of the most famous projects of the Potok group (former Mirax Group), the founder of which was Sergey Polonsky. It consists of two parts - the "West" (65 floors), which was built and sold even before the crisis, and "East" (planned 97 floors), the construction of which was frozen in 2009.

Two years later, Sberbank opened a credit line for 373.6 million dollars for the completion of the Vostok tower. Potok managed to spend $ 120 million, but in April 2013 the company said that Sberbank demanded ahead of schedule ahead of schedule because the company allowed a default on public debt. Sources of Vedomosti said that at the same time Trotsenko’s structures (he was also a minority shareholder of Potok) conducted negotiations with the Sberbank on the purchase of debt. In return, he had to get a tower.

Aeon representative confirmed that the Federation Tower was acquired by Trotsenko in 2013, but did not disclose the details. The information that Trotsenko has passed under control and its completion will be financed by Sberbank was confirmed by a source close to Potok shareholders.

In April 2012, the Vostok Tower experienced a large fire . The fire occurred at the level of the 67th floor, and then spread to several floors.

In 2009, Polonsky stated that in the event that he does not manage to find enough funds for the implementation of the initial project "Federation", then "Vostok" will be completed in a "truncated" one third of the form - a member of the west tower (about 243 meters).
