The legendary gunsmith Mikhail Kalashnikov died on Monday December 23 in a hospital in Izhevsk. On November 17, a week after his birthday, he was hospitalized with a diagnosis of gastric bleeding. On November 10, Kalashnikov turned 94.

The Master was designed for the first time in 1947. In the world, 70 million units of Kalashnikov machine guns were collected, it is used in the armies of more than 100 countries. The designer named the concern “Kalashnikov”, which under a single brand was united by the Izhmash and Izhevsk Mechanical Plant plant. Kalashnikov, until old age, worked at the factory as the chief designer.
