Immediately after the release from the colony in Nizhny Novgorod, Maria Alekhina went to the local office of the human rights organization Committee against torture, where she stated that she was going to protect the rights of prisoners in Russian prisons. Already now, the group member received amnesty documents in his hands.
Meanwhile, the head of the Synodal Department for the relationship between the Russian Orthodox Church and the company, Archpriest Vsevolod Chaplin, noted that during the trial and conclusion, Alekhina had a “certain evolution of the position”. In his opinion, the former prisoner realized the pain that she caused believers with her act. At the same time, he did not find this “evolution” in Tolokonnikova. Chaplin said that the Russian Orthodox Church is still ready for dialogue with Pussy Riot. Alekhina herself replied that her group was ready for a conversation with the church from the very beginning. In addition, Alekhina stated that if it was possible, Pussy Riot would not just repeat a punk-grain, but finished it to the end.
A little earlier in an interview with the Rain TV channel, the Pussy Riot group called the presidential amnesty “profanity”:
“If there was even the slightest opportunity to abandon the amnesty, I would do it. I was in the state of the moved body. Nothing depended on me. I do not consider an amnesty a humane act, I think this is a PR ridge. ”
According to Alekhina, the amnesty does not affect 10% of prisoners, and there are still many pregnant women and mothers in prisons.
The activist said that her export from the colony took place in a hasty and semi -secret regime. In her opinion, all this was done so that she did not have time to say goodbye to the prisoners, and the press did not pay attention to what was happening.
“As long as everyone rejoices in the freedom of Masha and is waiting for the release of Nadia, Samutsevich sued me. It requires 1.5 million rubles, ”the former Pussy Riot lawyer Nikolai Polozov wrote on Twitter.
Polozov said that Ekaterina Samutsevich filed a lawsuit to protect honor and dignity and demands to refute all the unpleasant materials for her that were published by him in social networks. According to the lawyer, the claims of the group members are unfounded.
