Nationalist Goryachev will remain in custody until April 8

The Moscow Basmanny Court on Thursday extended until April 8 of the next year the term of detention of the leader of the Russian Image right-bending movement, Ilya Goryachev, accused of creating an extremist community and organizing a number of murders on ideological grounds, ITAR-TASS reports.

The court recognized the position of the investigation that, being free, Goryachev would be able to hide.

During the hearing, the prosecutor stated that Goryachev was the organizer of a number of murders without specifying the names of the victims, and referred to the testimony of another person involved in the case - for life convicted by Nikita Tikhonov. Currently, Tikhonov was delivered from a colony for life -sentenced to a pre -trial detention center to Moscow, where it gives testimony on a number of other episodes, the organization of which is charged with Goryachev. Mosgosrud previously found Tikhonov guilty of the murder of lawyer Stanislav Markelov and journalist Anastasia Baburova.

Once again, Goryachev announced the refusal to admit guilt and what was engaged in journalist activities. "I completely disagree with the prosecution. I was not hiding in Serbia," the accused said.

Earlier, the Moscow Basmanny Court authorized the arrest of Goryachev. He was detained in Serbia in May and in November was issued to Russia at the request of the Prosecutor General.

Earlier, the investigation accused Goryachev of involvement in the murder of Judge Mosgorsud Eduard Chuvashov, but this information was not confirmed.

On Thursday, in court, the prosecutor announced that the investigation in the Goryachev case was also extended until April 2014.
