Foreigners entitled to visa -free entry will be able to be in Russia for no more than 90 days within six months. Such a law was signed by President Vladimir Putin. The document was published in the "Russian newspaper".

"The term of temporary stay in the Russian Federation of a foreign citizen who has arrived in the Russian Federation in a manner that does not require receiving a visa may not exceed ninety days in total during each period of one hundred and eighty days, with the exception of cases provided for by this Federal Law, as well as if such a period is not extended in accordance with this Federal Law," the document says.

In addition, foreigners or stateless persons are prohibited from entering Russia by three years, if during their previous stay in Russia they exceeded the term of stay.

The law also changes the existing procedure for medical examination of labor migrants. Now they are obliged to submit documents to the Federal Migration Service confirming the absence of drug addiction and "infectious diseases that pose a danger to others." The list of diseases is approved by the department authorized by the government. The certificate of absence of HIV infection is now presented directly when submitting an application for obtaining a work permit.

The law was adopted by the State Duma on December 20. At the same time, the law was adopted on the introduction of the exam in the Russian language, history and legislation of Russia for labor migrants from January 1, 2015. On December 25, the Federation Council approved the first law, but rejected the second .

“The law is correct, but legally stated incorrectly,” said the speaker of the upper house Valentina Matvienko, recommending to reject the law. “I hope that colleagues from the State Duma will treat this with understanding,” she said. The Council will form a conciliation commission for refinement of the document, in particular, they believe that the issuance of the examination certificate should first be registered in the law "On Education."

On December 26, Izvestia reported that the State Duma deputy from the LDPR Roman Khudyakov prepared a bill, according to which migrants would deport the migrants for two years and for 15 years to ban them re -entry into Russia. According to the deputy, for the first administrative offense, his project provides for a fine of 50 thousand rubles, and for the second - deportation and ban on entry. The document is supposed to be entered to the lower house in the spring session.
