Five militants were killed in the North Caucasus Federal District

Employees of Russian special services during special operations in the North Caucasus republics managed to destroy five members of illegal armed groups (NVF). This was reported by Interfax with reference to the National Anti -Terrorism Committee (NAC).

The committee said that three militants were shot dead by fighters of the FSB special forces and the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the area of ​​the village of Chegham Kabardino-Balkaria. According to special services, all the dead were on the federal wanted list, one of them was the leader of the bandit group. Presumably, in the territory of the republic, they planned to conduct a terrorist attack during the New Year holidays.

Two more bandits were destroyed in Dagestan. He died during the shootings with the police, trying to stop their VAZ car. During the inspection of the vehicle, a machine gun and a traumatic gun, converted for firing combat cartridges, were discovered.

Law enforcement officers also eliminated the scrap of militants in the territory of the Sunzhensky district of Ingushetia. In particular, three grenade launchers and about three kilograms of explosives were removed from the cache.
