Human rights activists will seek judicial and penitentiary reforms

Reforms of the judicial and penitentiary systems will become the main tasks of Russian human rights defenders in 2014. This was announced to Interfax by the head of the Moscow Helsinki group Lyudmila Alekseeva.

According to her, calmness and stability in the country, as well as the state of the economy, depends on the improvement of the situation in these areas.

“Another task is to fight elections. They decreased, but did not end, ”added Alekseeva.
