
Iraqi security forces are preparing to carry out a major operation to liberate the city of Falluji from Al-Qaeda militants, AL-ARABIYA Mozharab television channel reports on Sunday.
According to a senior government member, which is given by the TV channel, at the moment, the military, located on the borders of the city, withdraw residents from it. Then employees of security services will strike a “crushing blow to the terrorists”, the interfax official reports.
For several days associated with al-Qaeda, the militants have been holding under their control some areas of the cities of Ramadi and Falluji, located west of Baghdad. After the invasion of Iraq, the coalition led by the United States, these two cities in the province of Anbar already became a stronghold of rebels.
Now US Secretary of State John Kerry, who is on a visit to the Middle East , said on Sunday that Washington was ready to help Baghdad in the fight against militants, but without military intervention.
