Aksana Panova Dali two years conditionally

The court in Yekaterinburg today sentenced the former chief editor of the URA.ru portal Aksan Panov to two years in prison and fines, finding it guilty of extortion and coercion to the deal. During this period, she is forbidden to work in the media.

The accusations of abuse of authority were removed from the journalist, her guilt was not proven in this case.

Earlier, during the judicial debate, the prosecutor asked Panov to be sentenced to five years in prison, to recover a fine of one million rubles from the accused and prohibit her to engage in journalism.

Panova herself does not plead guilty and associates criminal prosecution with the fact that she criticized the authorities of the Sverdlovsk region.
