The decision of the district court of Tver on the parole of Ilya Farber entered into legal force
on Friday, January 10, the teacher and former director of the rural club Ilya Farber was released after the decision of the Moscow District Court of Tver on his conventional release, issued on December 31, 2013, has entered into legal force. In total, in the conclusion in the resonant case, Farber spent exactly two years and four months. At the Tver pre -trial detention center, Ilya Farber was greeted by journalists who are sympathetic people, as well as the son of
Peter Farber , who took an active part in the Father's Liberation campaign:
- I'm very happy. To the last, for some reason, he did not believe that this would happen. Maybe I’m already used to inconstancy this: I hope one thing - another happens. In general, it seems to me that I am sleeping, that maybe this is not true. I need to get used to it, just as dad needs to get used to the fact that he is no longer in prison.

Ilya Farber told Radio Freedom immediately after his release, what he intends to do in the future and what he had the most in prison:
- A lot of things that I dreamed about and what plans I made. The very first and most important thing is to hug children, especially the youngest, whom I almost did not see. And given the fact that I was engaged in children in such a way that I took birth, I nursed them ... I didn’t take off my shoulders until 3 years old, he was with me everywhere, I did gymnastics with him, tempered. With this attitude, the gap with the child is experienced very painfully. Now I have not seen the youngest yet, but I have from my thoughts that I will take him in my arms, goosebumps.
- What do you plan to do in the near future? Will you continue to make any attempts to relieve yourself with a criminal record? - Yes, sure. This is itself. I do not know what to discuss here, because, of course, you need to achieve a complete excuse. I'm not sure that this is possible in Russia at present. I think only in the European court.
- Your business, your story, the story of your conclusion have found a great response in Russian society. A lot of people emphasized you, sympathized. Why do you think? - It's hard for me to say. I have to enter the course of all events. I got some news, some information. I think this is a small part of everything that happened, what happened during my isolation. I still do not know the answers to many questions. I need to think before answering.
“I can assume that you are a person not politicized.” Can you now put your parole in one row, for example, with the liberation of Mikhail Khodorkovsky or girls from Pussy Riot, who were released before the New Year? - Undoubtedly. Officially, I was also released on December 31. I think this is one issue. I believe that it would be nice to arrange a graduation evening later, only for this you need to release everyone else who participated in a peaceful rally in Bolotnaya Square, Plato Lebedev, Alexei Pichugin and others. There are a lot of them. At least the most loud sidel.
- You spent more than two years in prison. What did you do there? What are your sensations from how people are contained in places of imprisonment? - This is a very big question that you need to answer for a long time. I will tell you the main thing: this Tverskaya isolator in which I was detained for Russia is just a standard of imprisonment. There is probably a law, probably 98 percent. But it is also important what I learned during my conclusion, that people themselves are to blame. We are all, the whole society. The fact that the criminal was in prison is also not one to blame. In everything - in the fact that we have such a device that it works for us so, we are to blame. We must work with society so that something changes.
- A few years ago you left Moscow, became a rural teacher, director of the House of Culture. Now you are ready to repeat this path - to leave Moscow again, to teach to the village? - I do not regret anything and try to be prepared for everything. A lot of stereotypes came to me in prints - newspaper articles, in which what was actually distinguished. There was no fact that I was not accepted in the village. This was not. Just those who treated me well, they were busy with work. And those who are badly shouted. In general, this often happens. I will answer all questions later. I need to come to my senses. I'm even dumbfounded by air. Because I did not leave the camp - this is important, not from the zone, not from the colony, but from the pre -trial detention center. I was in a pre -trial detention center for 2.5 years, that is, just in the reinforced concrete box. For me, the air itself is an unusual sensation.
Elena Romanova, lawyer Ilya Farber, confirmed that she and her client intend to further prove the innocence of the teacher:
- I believe that the liberation of Ilya is the result of a public campaign. Of course, without the support of society, Ilya Farber today would not have been released.
- What will be your further actions with Ilya? He still has to pay a fine of 3 million rubles. Have you discussed this issue somehow? Will you somehow protest, if possible, legally this fine? Will you try to remove the criminal record from him through the court, to prove further that he is innocent in this matter? - Now we, of course, will discuss further plans. Because he completely does not agree with the sentence. We believe that he is innocent.
The co -chair of the Tver branch of the Memorial International Society
Valentina Sharipova told what she at one time attracted the case of Ilya Farber and for which, in her opinion, the rural teacher suffered:
- What do this kind of affairs are attracted at all? This is disproportionate punishment. I will not go, there was or was not an event on which he was accused, but scares the disproportion of punishment. Seven years strictly regime - this is outside of understanding. This is what attracted not only me, but all those who found out about this matter.
Explaining the appearance of this case in a prudent is simple. Remember the small episode in court, where the prosecutor, convicted by power, was not awake to say that a person with such a surname could not be honest? The prosecutor pointed to the allegedly incomplete Farber on a national basis. Imagine: a Muscovite, a very bright person comes to the rural outback, in a deaf place, in a closed world. This is such an eternal story, we can say - biblical. He, as it were, not like the noise raised, but somehow developed activities that did not like others. In such places, the policeman and the head of the rural settlement are a great power. They can destroy any person. Farber fell under this small rink. If you can do this at the top, pursue it without sufficient grounds, then why you can’t do it to the lower, small bumps in place.
*********
Moscow artist Ilya Farber, along with his family, moved to one of the villages of the Ostashkovsky district of the Tver region in the summer of 2010, having settled a teacher of drawing, music and singing to a local school. In 2011, he was appointed director of the rural house of culture and, on behalf of the head of the local administration, took part in the repair of the building of the recreation center.
According to Ilya Farber, he several times borrowed his money to continue construction, and also bought building materials - in response to the promises of the contractor, to reimburse him all these costs after completing the construction and receipt of 2 and a half million rubles from the state budget. According to investigators, at the end of the summer of 2011, the contractor returned to Ilya Farber 300 thousand rubles, but in September, the director of the recreation center demanded another 132 thousand to sign the act of completion of construction work.
However, the head of the contractor, Yuri Gorokhov, regarded this requirement as extortion and appealed to law enforcement agencies with an appropriate statement. In September 2011, Ilya Farber, after signing the act of acceptance of work, was detained by employees of the Federal Security Service in the Tver region. The investigation claimed that repair work in the rural house of culture was carried out not in full, and therefore the signing of the document on the completion of the construction, the director of the recreation center caused the budget to the budget, estimated at almost 950 thousand rubles.
The court hearing in the case of Ilya Farber began in June 2012, the prosecution demanded that he be sentenced to 9 years in a maximum security colony and a fine of 3.2 million rubles. In August, the Tver Regional Court sentenced the only time the conclusion period of up to 8 years. This sentence, called by the lawyers of Ilya Farber fabricated, caused a significant public resonance in Russia.

However, after the intervention of the Supreme Court of Russia, which sent the case for a revision, the Ostashkovsky City Court of the Tver Region on August 1, 2013 revised the sentence, imposing Ilya Farber in the form of 7 years and 1 month in prison and a fine of 3.1 million rubles. Farber was found guilty of receiving a bribe and exceeding official powers. As journalists observing the process noted, the case was considered with numerous violations. The judge called on the jury "not to pay attention to the words of the defendant," and the state prosecutor asked: "Can a person by the name of Farber help the village for free?"

But by the end of 2013, not only lawyers, but also the prosecutor’s office were already asked to mitigate this sentence. This happened after in early September President Vladimir Putin called the sentence to Farber "egrabs."
