Paralyzed Topokhin was given six years for fraud

The seriously ill patient Vladimir Topkhin was sentenced to six years in a colony in the fraud case on an especially large scale. According to the member of the Moscow PMC Anna Karenikova, the court hearing was held on Monday at the Sailor Silence of the Sailor Silence, Judge of the Tver District Court of Moscow Tatyana Neverova. The judge refused to postpone the process, it ended on the same day. At the request of human rights activists in the hearings, a break was announced to feed the defendant and make him injections.

31-year-old Topkhin was found guilty in part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code. He was arrested last summer. Shortly before the arrest, Topekhin crashed by car, having received a traumatic brain injury, as well as damage to the spine and internal organs. In the pre -trial detention center, his condition was seriously worsening. The prisoner took the lower body and hand.

According to RAPSI agency Topekhina, Beterland Sidorkina, the court session on Monday opened at 10:00 and continued until 21:30. “We made several petitions to call the doctor, they were refused. After Topakhin began to cry and scream in pain, the doctor was called. After the second injection, he felt better, and the judge insisted that he testify,” the lawyer said.

According to Sidorkina, during the meeting of Neverova she studied evidence of the prosecution, interrogated the victim, two witnesses and investigator in the case, refused the defense petitions and sentenced the sentence: six years with a sentence in a general regime. The court also granted the civil lawsuit the victim in the amount of 10 million rubles.

According to the investigation, Topekhin, working as an auditor, received 10 million rubles from the victim, promising to assist him in the opening of the Center for Forensic Expertise in Moscow: open a bank cell, find a premises, and help with the paperwork. However, he did not fulfill these conditions, assigning money.

The protection of Topkhin intends to appeal the verdict. In December last year, Sidorkina sent an urgent statement to the European Court of Human Rights about his immediate exemption from custody in connection with the threat of health and life.

On November 20, last year, the under investigation was transferred from the Butyrka pre -trial detention center to the hospital of the Sailor Silence. There, thanks to the care, his condition improved slightly. However, on December 4, the patient was placed in the common camera of the SIZO-1. “He lies naked at all, without nothing, under the prickly blanket,” Karetnikova wrote. “There are no panties and T -shirts on it. The toilet is a hose and a catheter. He did not wash for a month. He cannot brush his teeth on his own. He was wiped with a wet towel. This is generally a still person.”

Topkhin was taken several times for examination in the 20th city hospital, and each time the doctors did not find grounds for his release.

In 2011, the judge of Neverova kept the case of an accident on Leninsky Prospekt with the participation of the vice president of Lukoil Anatoly Barkov. In December 2012, this judge justified the former deputy head of the Butyrka pre -trial detention center Dmitry Kratov in the death of Sergei Magnitsky. Last fall, Neverova fined the administrative cases of the participants of the July gathering after the sentence in the Kirovles case.
