Nissan presented a new generation of London taxi, built on the platform of the commercial model NV200, reports 110km.ru .

The model was first presented as a new vision of the London taxi in August 2012, but received some comments from the city department of transport and other key organizations.

A changed taxi design was developed at the Nissan European Center in London, where Qashqai and Juke models were also created.

So, the model had round headlights and a radiator grille of a different shape, similar to the corresponding elements of a traditional kab.

A new taxi will be represented in December 2014 and equipped with an ecological gasoline engine of 1.6 liters paired with an automatic gearbox. Compared to the current diesel taxi in London, the gasoline power unit of the new model will be cleaner.

In addition, a taxi with an electric motor will also be presented, also created on the basis of NV200. The car will appear on the streets of London already in 2015, and not in 2020, as previously expected.
