The case of the former deputy head of the Ministry of Agriculture of Bazhanov fell apart, the press claims

The loud case of fraud, the defendant of which was the former deputy head of the Ministry of Agriculture Alexei Bazhanov, collapsed, the newspaper Kommersant found out.

According to the publication, before the New Year, Bazhanov and his two accomplices - the former top managers of the Masloproduk holding Roman Malov and Sergey Dudenkova - retrained the case for a softer article, freeing them from the guard under the recognizance not to leave. As a result of retraining, the defendants fall under the economic amnesty. They did not admit their guilt and did not compensate for the damage.

In mid -December, the Moscow City Court upheld the decision of the Tver District Court to extend the arrest of Bazhanov, Malov and Dudenkov until February 2014. However, according to Kommersant’s information, at the end of last year, the investigator, the investigator, went on vacation, and the employee of the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, who replaced him, decided to re -qualify the case from part 4. Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud committed by a criminal group on an especially large scale), threatening the deprivation of liberty up to 10 years, at Art. 159.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud in the field of entrepreneurial activity), which provides for punishment from a fine to five years in prison.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs said that so far it has not been made by amnesty decisions, however, other sources of the newspaper claim that the issue of this has already been agreed upon by investigative bodies and the Prosecutor General.

The criminal case of theft through Bazhanov, Voronezh Holding, Masloproduct, was instituted in early March 2013. According to investigators, the defendants entered into leasing agreements for the supply of high -tech equipment controlled by agricultural enterprises for the production of refined sunflower oil.

Budget funds were transferred to settlement accounts of affiliated organizations and were cashed out. For reliability, fictitious documents were drawn up about alleged deliveries.

According to investigators, Bazhanov had a key role in the group’s activities - it was he who agreed on the allocation of funds, participated in the preparation of documents on transactions and helped to hide the facts of the lack of equipment. The total damage from the theft discovered by the investigation in the case is estimated at 1.12 billion rubles.

Bazhanov worked at the Ministry of Agriculture in 2009-2010 and was the deputy of Elena Skrynnik - it was the department he headed by the Oil Product Money.
