All cameras and video recording of violations of road rules, disabled in the suburbs due to a mysterious viral attack , work again, announced in the regional government. “All cameras work, a communication channel is being established by specialists, and all violations are fixed with devices,” said Peter Ivanov, deputy chairman of the head of the Moscow Region.
According to Newsru.com, the deputy chairman managed to carry out the recovery of the schedule. Indeed, initially in the media, with links to a number of experts, opinions were expressed that it would be possible to fix the equipment no earlier than January 16, or even the repair will be delayed for a month. But it was possible to cope with the problem quite quickly.
“It was really not easy, and people worked around the clock, but the problem was solved exactly on time and even with a small schedule,” the official emphasized.
Nevertheless, while the data on violations come from cameras not as fast as before, local authorities admit, but for drivers the situation has returned to the previous direction - all cameras are able to fix violations on the roads, he warned.
A failure in the functioning of stationary complexes of photo and video recording of traffic violations in the suburbs occurred on the night of January 10. According to the maintenance organization, a deliberate hacking of the operating system of the software and hardware parts of the complexes was carried out, into which the computer virus was entered. As a result, the “worm” struck, as reported in the government of the Moscow Region, 113 video recording complexes. And information from the cameras stopped entering the traffic police control server of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Moscow Region.
At the same time, data appeared that cameras that the virus did not amaze did not work. However, the local authorities refuted this information. As of January 9, 9 out of 149 cameras did not work: 5 were dismantled in connection with the reconstruction of roads, 3 complexes were carried out on the restoration of power supply lines, 1 complex was in a non -working state due to damage as a result of an accident.
After a viral attack, which disabled most of the functioning cameras, motorists had the opportunity to violate the traffic rules with impunity throughout the Moscow Region. However, according to the survey of the Superjob.ru portal, only 3% of drivers succumbed to the temptation to violate the traffic rules, hearing about the breakdown of the video recording system in the Moscow region.
A criminal case has been instituted on this incident, but so far the security forces have not given versions who could stand this viral attack.
