In the library of a small town in Bosnia, the work of Picasso was discovered

In the People’s Library of the Small Bosnian town of Kozarsk, a club (another name Bosansk Dubitsa) said that they have a graphic work of the famous Spanish artist Pablo Picasso, unknown to the general public.

According to the library employees, the creation of the great Spaniard for many years was secretly stored here. There is no signature of the artist on it, only the date, but representatives of this Bosnian culture institution do not doubt its authenticity. According to them, the work of Picasso was presented as a gift to the library by the national hero of the country Boshko Shilegovich. He, in turn, allegedly received it as a gift in 1964 in Paris, being a member of the Communist Congress.

The former director of the Center for Culture in the Kozar club, the Banayan, admitted in an interview with one of the local television channels that all past years was very afraid to keep such a precious gift. “At that time, we had no technical conditions for its preservation. We could save him only in silence,” the bathhouse said. According to him, the work has been in the library since the late 1980s and has been stored in a regular safe.

The head of the Kozar club community Miles Evnuto said that the work would be checked for authenticity. If it is confirmed that the drawing really belongs to Picasso, it will be represented by the public with the condition of its proper safety.
