Somali pirates captured the ship in the Red Sea. According to Reuters, the capture of the vessel under the flag of that MV Marzooqah is the first major attack of Somali pirates since the end of 2012.

As Reuters reports, the ship's captain on Saturday evening gave a disaster signal. The ship was taken on boarding by armed people, the team was ordered to turn south and let the Somali beasts.

According to preliminary data, up to nine armed pirates landed on the ship, five of which still remain on board, ITAR-TASS reports.

Which of the pirate groups captured the ship is still unclear. The requirements were not put forward, RIA Novosti notes.

The crew of Marzooqah consists of Indians, Egyptians and Syrians. In 2011, this ship was already attacked by pirates, but then the sailors managed to avoid captivity.
