The editor-in-chief of Garage magazine Dasha Zhukov was in the center of the Internet scandal caused by her photography, which, according to observers, expresses the “superiority of the White race”.

We are talking about an illustration for an interview published on Monday, January 20, the Russian online magazine Buro 24/7 . On it, Zhukova sits in a chair, which is a seat based on a lying half -naked black woman.

The design of the chair, inspired by the 1969 collection of British sculptor Allen Jones, allows the option with a white woman, but it was not used in the Buro 24/7 photo shoot.

Soon, the image on the Buro 24/7 website was edited, leaving only the upper part. Nevertheless, they managed to notice him in its original form.

FashionBombdaily.com editor Claire Salmers said that Zhukova, sitting on a black woman, expresses "the superiority of the white race, formulated with the apparent serenity, which, however, does not hide the humiliating nature of the composition."

Salmers was joined by the observer The Huffington Post Julie Wilson. She believes that photography with Zhukova is another manifestation of indifference and hypocrisy inherent in the modern fashion industry.

The Huffington Post website provides comments on outraged Twitter users, as well as a kind of resume of Claire Salmers: “The industry of art and fashion - the last bastions of society, in which the vulgar racism and ignorance of the green light in the name of creativity”.
