The traffic police complained for a long time that foreign numbers are not recognized as cameras and many drivers use this - dashing, exceeding speed, traveling to the dedicated stripes. Even in the fall, the traffic police served amendments that allow inspectors to stop and check such cars for the legality of being in the Russian Federation. Now a source in the FCS specified sanctions. "The driver who will drive a vehicle with foreign numbers will have the right to stop this vehicle and check documents with customs marks, with the terms of temporary review, in the absence of their penalties," he said to the city portal.

For the resale of cars with foreign numbers without paying customs payments, a fine of 5 thousand rubles with possible confiscation of the vehicle will face. Exactly the same punishment will be provided for those who do not take the car from Russia on time. In addition, the sanctions will be waiting for those who purchase such a car. This will be regarded as aiding criminals and evasion of customs payments. In Moscow, it is supposed to create its own database of cars with foreign numbers. It will allow you to hold violators to the cars registered in other states. It is assumed that the Ministry of Internal Affairs will have access to it, which means that automatic cameras will be able to install information by foreign numbers. The fines will wait for such violators at the border. In the event of a refusal to pay on customs, the driver will be closed to the entrance to the territory of Russia.
