Kant’s house will be restored in the Kalinigrad region

The authorities of the Kaliningrad region plan to create a tourist route to places related to Immanuel Kant. The first will be reconstructed the house in the village of Veselovka, Chernyakhovsky district, where Kant lived and worked for three years.

This was announced at a meeting of the Council on Culture under the governor, reports REGNUM .

The identified object of cultural heritage in Veselovka (in 1938–1946, Kanthausen, at the time of Kant - Yudchen) was built at the end of the XVII century, in the middle of the 18th century he was rebuilt into the house of Pastor Daniel Ernst Andersh, whose Kant worked as a home teacher. After that, the building was repeatedly rebuilt, and is currently in disrepair.

“The mansion is really unique. The current building is in the same place and has the same outlines as the Pastor's house. This is one of the few places where the great philosopher left his native Koenigsberg in his entire life, ”Professor BFU said. Kanta Valery Galtsov. The Governor of the Kaliningrad Region Nikolai Tsukanov instructed the state protection service of cultural heritage sites to complete the procedures related to the registration of the cultural heritage object - the house of the pastor, and the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Tourism together with the BFU named after Kant and the municipal authorities to work out the issues of using the building as an object of tourist show.

The historical and cultural examination should be carried out before the end of February, according to its results, the Council on culture will be held, which will work as the issue of creating the museum. “At the time of the examination, you need to contact our German partners to obtain additional information and, possibly, to purchase exhibits for the museum,” Tsukanov said.

The Pastor's House in the Chernyakhovsky district is not the only place associated with Immanuel Kant. The meeting also mentioned the estate in the village of Kurortny Pravdinsky district (Gross-Vonsddorf), where Kant was visiting. The entrance tower on the banks of the Lava River has been preserved.
