This was reported by Lenta.ru with reference to the editorial staff. According to him, the decision to terminate the release of the paper version of the Moscow News was made by the RIA Novosti agency, which, apparently, considered the newspaper a unprofitable.
At the same time, the editorial office of Moscow News will continue to work on the Mn.ru website, which is not discussed yet.
Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the liquidation of RIA Novosti on December 9 . According to this decree, instead of it a new state and formagnancy will be created - "Russia Today"
The Moscow News newspaper has been published in English since 1930, since 1980 a version in Russian has appeared. After 1991, its circulations began to contract, and from January 1, 2008, the newspaper stopped coming out. In 2008, the Moscow News brand was handed over to RIA Novosti.
