On Tuesday, the Lefortovo Court of Moscow arrested Nasitdinov for two months. The official is suspected of large fraud associated with the illegal registration in the early 2000s in the ownership of local gas networks.
Shoquidinov was detained at Vnukovo Airport last Sunday, where he flew from Makhachkala. He was later delivered to the IVS of the GUMVD in Moscow, where they tried to interrogate him. However, the official refused to testify.
The case against Shoestidinov under part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code (fraud on an especially large scale) was opened six months ago by the Investigative Department of the FSB of Dagestan. Due to the complexity of the investigation, it was recently transferred for further production to the central apparatus of the FSB.
According to the investigation, in 2002, which then held the posts of the general director of Dagestangiongaz LLC and the chairman of the board of Daggaz OJSC, Nasvidinov organized a deal between these two companies. As a result, the property of gas networks of nine municipalities of the republic for 58 million received Daggaz OJSC. The official was his shareholder. At the same time, the market value of illegally registered property at that time amounted to 197.73 million rubles.
As the investigation established, in 2013, Nashutdinov proposed to redeem gas networks in the republic back to Gazprom’s structures, but already 5 billion rubles.
