The Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Arkady Dvorkovich, speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, called for improving the work of the largest infrastructure monopolies in the country - "Russian Post" and "Russian Railways", the Prime Agency reports.
“It’s easier to take a backpack on your shoulders and go to Vladivostok on foot than to get, for example, by a freight train, the average speed of which is only 18 kilometers a day,” the agency quoted the speech of the Deputy Prime Minister.
"Another example is our postal service. There are many criticisms about the time of mail delivery, especially in the case of Internet trade, but the service, to surprise, is getting better," said Dvorkovich, then asking not to consider his comparisons and comments by reproaches to the leadership of these companies.
Russian Railways OJSC and FSUE "Post of Russia" are 100% belong to the state.
In the Russian government, Arkady Dvorkovich oversees transport and communication, reminds the agency. At the forum in Davos this year, he heads the Russian delegation.
The day before, speaking at the forum, he promised that $ 50 billion spent on the Olympics in Sochi would necessarily pay off.
