Awarded the Award "Nose"

On open debate in the center. Meyerhold in Moscow on Thursday, January 23, announced the laureate of the Literary Prize "Nos" ("New literature") at the end of 2013. It was Andrei Ivanov (Estonia).

He was awarded for the novel “Harbin Motylki”-the story of a photographer-emigrant, unfolding against the backdrop of Estonia’s unsettled life between the first and Second World Wars, reports Gazeta.ru . The monetary part of the main award is 700 thousand rubles.

The prize of spectator sympathies (200 thousand rubles), based on the results of the Internet voting, was awarded to Mikhail Elizarov for a collection of autobiographical stories “We went out to smoke for 17 years”.

In addition to Ivanov and Elizarov, the premiums included:

• Sergey Belyakov - “Gumilev son of Gumilyov”;
• Evgeny Vodolazkin - "Lavr. Unhistoric novel ”;
• Alexander Grigorenko - “Ilget. Three names of fate ”;
• Eduard Kochergin - “Notes of the Tablet Rat”;
• Vladimir Martynov - "Book of Books";
• Margarita Hemlin - “Inquiry officer”;
• Konstantin Charukhin - "Shcheirer".

All authors from the short list will receive 40 thousand rubles each.

The jury of the award included a literary critic Konstantin Milchin, literary critic Nikolai Aleksandrov, writer and associate professor of St. Petersburg State University Andrei Avtsaturov, literary critic Galina Yuzefovich and director of the Institute of Linguistics of the RSU Maxim Krongauz.

The NOC award has been awarded to the Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation since 2010 and supports modern artistic literature in Russian.
