The composer Ritz Ortolani died

In Rome at the age of 87, the Italian composer Ritz Ortolani died, the author of music for more than 200 films, including “Kill Bill” Quentin Tarantino and the television series “SPRU”.

According to RIA Novosti with reference to the La Repubblica newspaper, the funeral will take place on Saturday in Rome.

Ritz Ortolani was born in Pesaro in 1926. As the film composer made his debut in the film "Dog World" in 1962 and was immediately nominated for Oscar for the song "More" .

During his long career, he worked with almost all the leading Italian directors, such as Wittorio de Sica, Dino Rizie, Damiano Damiani, Pupi Avati.

Ritz Ortolani was the author of the soundtracks to spaghetti westers and Italian horror films. Quentin Tarantino twice borrowed his theme from Western's Western Day, using her in his films “Kill Bill” and “Dzhango freed”. Ortolani also wrote music for the first season of the SPRU series popular in the USSR.
