Oppositionists captured the Vinnitsa regional council

The Ukrainian opposition seized the building of the Vinnitsa Regional Council, the Opposition Party "Freedom" said on its twitter.

The party said that the protesters managed to break into the meeting room, surrounded the deputies from the ruling Party of Regions and demanded that they put up powers. Oppositionists also achieve the resignation of Governor Ivan Movchan. Officially, information about the seizure of the building has not been confirmed.

At first, opposition deputies were not allowed on her. Later, Governor Mikhail Papiev came to the protesters. He refused to write a resignation statement and called for negotiations. Activists rejected this proposal. Papiev ordered the deputies to let the deputies from the opposition and disappeared into the building.

During the negotiations, Papiev’s police threw two grenades into the crowd. This provoked clashes in which the chairman of the regional council Mikhail Gaynicher suffered.
