The meeting of participants in VKontakte LLC, according to the Digit.ru source, will be held on the initiative of one of the shareholders. If the issue of termination of the powers of Durov at the meeting, the resignation decision will be made.
Participants in the Internet market consider Durov's imminent departure . “It seems to me that Durov’s departure is likely in the near future, and it is quite possible to discuss who will come to his place,” says Liveinternet founder German Klimenko.
The largest shareholder of VKontakte is the Investment Fund United Capital Partners (UCP) , which owns 48% of the company. Almost 40% of the social networks belong to the Holding Alisher Usmanov Mail.ru Group . Last week, it became known that Durov sold his shares - 12% - Ivan Tavrin, General Director of MegaFon, who is also controlled by Usmanov.
Thus, Usmanov can now dispose of the control package of VKontakte shares - 52%.
Earlier, the UCP Foundation accused Durov of being engaged in personal projects, in particular, the Telegram messenger, and not the main work. Usmanov, generally supporting the founder of the social network, said that if UCP claims are confirmed, Durov will be responsible.
In January, three leaders who previously worked in Usmanov’s structures came to the top management of social networks, replacing Durov's associates at these posts. Durov himself on his VKontakte page reported that he did not intend to leave.
