In the project "Let's PretenD We Donmet Exist" I am conducting an internal dialogue with my father.
He was a famous polar explorer and spent half his life in the Arctic and Antarctic. He died when I was 6 years old. Many years have passed, but the magic of the poles of the earth did not stop beckoning me. My interest grew up until I decided to make this project. I connected photos from the archives of my family with new works that I shot in St. Petersburg, in the Baltic Sea, Iceland and other places. I tried to create a connection of times through deceitful art of photography.
The resulting photo project talks about the impossibility of meeting. I hope this work will serve as a guide for those who are preparing for a long winter.
