Yesterday, a list of candidates for the Moscow City Duma (the elections will be held on September 14) from the Civil Platform party appeared on social networks. A significant part of the list of 14 people are party members. It includes the new leader of the Civil Platform, Irina Prokhorova, members of the federal civil committee: RBC-TV CEO Alexander Lyubimov, former senator Alexander Pochinok, physician Elizaveta Glinka, and artist Leonid Yarmolnik. It also includes the former mayor of Troitsk, expert from the TV show "What? Where? When?" Viktor Sidnev, municipal deputies Vladimir Garnachuk and Elena Tkach, and political strategist Marina Litvinovich.

The party does not comment on the leaks, said Prokhorova's representative Tatyana Kosobokova. The published list is incomplete: it does not include all the people with whom negotiations are underway, and not all of the people on the list have reached an agreement on support, but it is still too early to publish it in this form, said Mikhail Vyshegorodtsev, head of the Moscow branch of the Civil Platform. According to him, after the territory of Moscow is divided into 45 districts, the party will resume negotiations with RPR-Parnas and Yabloko on dividing the districts so as not to create competition between democratic candidates; support for individual candidates from other parties is also possible. The list includes people who are considered by the party as potential candidates, but not all of them are on the list, confirmed his deputy Alexander Osovtsov.

As Elena Tkach said, she received an offer to run for the Moscow City Duma from the "Civic Platform" and she accepted it, the final conversation took place last week. The negotiators from the party - they were representatives of the Moscow branch - did not put forward any conditions, Tkach said, they agreed to her only condition - not to join the party. According to her, it did not come to a conversation about finances.

Several other people involved indicated they were involved in the talks but declined to disclose details until an official announcement was made.

The list includes many worthy and recognizable faces, which is useful from a political technology point of view and will stimulate inter-party negotiations - so that parties claiming a related electorate do not waste their energy competing with people of Pochinok's caliber, says Konstantin Merzlikin, a member of the RPR-Parnas bureau. Previously, they said that Andrei Makarevich and Alla Pugacheva could take part in the elections, but they are not on the list, Merzlikin points out.

The fame factor works, many have a chance to become deputies, says political scientist Valery Khomyakov, but only half are capable of becoming effective deputies.

These are all media personalities who will undoubtedly conduct bright campaigns, but the Moscow voter is rational, only Prokhorova has a chance, and even she will have a hard time, says political scientist Dmitry Orlov; after Prokhorov left the party leadership, her list lost its appeal for real politicians.
