The Moscow Theater “The School of the Modern Play”, whose building on Trubnaya Square in November was badly damaged by the fire, moved to a new platform - a theater club on Tishinka (formerly Serafimovich), where he will remain for a year and a half.

Actors and theater staff turned the move into a real holiday, RIA Novosti reports.

The ceremonial porch of the theater club on Tishin was decorated with a sign with the name of the theater, the traffic police blocked the traffic in Middle Tishinsky Lane, when a truck loaded with scenery and props, with the theater, Iosif Raichelgauz and the leading actress of the troupe, Irina Alferova, at the entrance, drove up to the entrance, the guests of the theater met him in the theater. applause.

“In fact, this car is a symbolic residue of the scenery and props,” explained the director of the theater Ekaterina Kretova. - Absolutely all things have already been transported and stored here on Tishinka. It is very important for us to emphasize our move for the public, because due to the fire we changed the address. And although we persistently repeat that our house is on Neglinka and we will definitely return there, while we are reviving and being built, we need to play somewhere. Indeed, from February 1, all theater performances will be played and put here. ”

“There is space, a wonderful hall, large“ pockets ”of scenes, huge dressing rooms. But the building was in a neglected state: the hall was white-gray, dusty and dirty. Our artists and workers tried to open: a new theatrical design, light, a restaurant was made, and the scene is remarkable, ”said the actress Irina Alferova.
