Cable operators turn off "Rain"

Cable operators turn off "Rain"

Cable networks throughout Russia stop the broadcast of the Rain TV channel. “NTV-Plus”, “Akado” and “Er-Telecom” refused to cooperate with him.

The General Director of Er-Telecom of the Holding, Andrei Semerikov, told Vedomosti that the operator took Rain only for test broadcasting and did not agree with the channel on financial conditions. He claims that the decision that rain will not broadcast in the Er-Telecom networks was made two weeks ago and was not related to the rain survey to the 70th anniversary of the lifting of the blockade of Leningrad.

The representative of Gazprom-Media (which includes NTV-Plus) explained the disconnection of Rain precisely by the publication of this survey. According to him, the broadcast of the channel publishing such surveys is harmful to the NTV-Plus reputation.

The President of the Akado Group of Companies Viktor Koresh explained the termination of cooperation with the rain with a significant change in the concept of channel broadcasting.

“Tricolor TV” states that “the outline of the glorious pages of Russian history, the feat of Soviet people on the battlefields of the Great Patriotic War, and the memory of the Great Victory is categorically unacceptable.” Nevertheless, the operator accepted the channel and decided not to turn it off.

Of the largest satellite and cable operators, they also continue to work with Rostelecom and Vimpelcom with Razhny. Their representatives confirmed that the position of their companies in relation to the rain has not changed.

On January 27, the Rain TV channel conducted a survey “Was it necessary to pass Leningrad in order to save hundreds of thousands of lives?” It was published on the site, and was also held on the air of the Dilentant program. This survey caused a violent reaction. The President of the Russian Cable Television Association and the owner of Akado, Yuri Podachkin, proposed to disable the channel from broadcasting. Several deputies suggested applying for an audit of the prosecutor general Yuri Chaika.

The editor -in -chief of the television channel Mikhail Zygar said that the “splash of the negativity” addressed to the “rain” “is a consequence of a political order”. The TV channel soon closed the survey, called it a mistake and apologized. He later announced a telemarathon about patriotism, which will be held on February 2.

On the live air of the rain, the presenter Anna Mongite said that the channel does not stop working, but needs the support of the audience. Soon after, (at about 20:25 Moscow time) the broadcasting of the channel on NTV-Plus stopped.

A message appeared on the Facebook “Rain” with links to the pages of the channel website, where you can watch it and where you can help him by drawing up a paid subscription.

On his website, the radio host Alexander Plyushchev calls on to support the rain, buying a subscription to the TV channel and goods with its symbols. “What is happening with the Rain TV channel, all these shutdowns, such as (?) On the command, all this shaft of pathos pseudo -patriotism, indignation and insult is meanness and persecution,” the journalist believes.

PS at 20:52 Rain Twitter said that the channel’s broadcasting was stopped by the Moscow Provider, belonging to Rostelecom, and shortly before that , the fact that city telephones stopped working in the channel.
