The film director Miklosh Yangcho died

Today, January 31, in Budapest at the age of 92, the Hungarian film director Miklosh Yangcho, the laureate of the Cannes festival, died.

It is reported by the Associated Press with reference to the Hungarian Association of Cinematographers.

Miklosh Yangcho was born in 1921, in 1950 he graduated from the Academy of Theater and Cinematography in Budapest with a diploma of the film director.

His films “Dawns and Suppians” (1961), “Cantata” (1963), “Without Hope” (1966), “Lamb of God” (1970), “While asking for the psalm)” (1972), “My Love, Electra” (1974), “Private Views, Public Virtues” (1975), “Allegro Barbaro” were received. (1979).

Miklosh Yangcho was awarded many national and international film awards, at the 1972 Cannes Festival for the film “Red Psalm”, he received a prize to the best director.

In addition to full-length films, Miklosh Yangcho shot short and documentary films, in the 1970s and 1980s he made several theatrical productions. Since the 1980s, he taught a movie at various universities in the world.
