
On the same day, the Moscow City Court until June 6 extended the arrest to another defendant of the "Swamp business" - Ilya Gushchin. He is also accused of participating in the riots and the use of violence against a representative of the authorities. Gushchin pleaded guilty to the use of violence against a policeman and rejected his participation in the riots.
Alexei Gaskarov, Ilya Gushchin, as well as Alexander Margolin and Elena Kokhtareva belong to the second wave of arrests in the "Swamp Dash". The extension of the arrest Margolin will be held on Tuesday in the Basmanny court. As reported on the website of Rosuznik, the trial of participants in the second wave of arrests will begin allegedly in the spring of this year.
The “Swamp business” is connected with the events of May 6, 2012, when the opposition’s promotion in Moscow in Moscow grew into the clashes of demonstrators with the police agreed with the Moscow authorities. About 30 people became the defendants, three of them have already been convicted. Several accused fell under an amnesty declared by the State Duma in connection with the 20th anniversary of the Constitution of Russia.
