The Ministry of Culture believes that the cultural heritage objects cannot be dismantled, the Rain TV channel reports with reference to Interfax.
“We sent a letter to the Minister of Communications and Mass Communications that we do not agree with the dismantling. We believe that it is necessary to comply with the security obligation that is in their performance, ”said Vladimir Tsvenov, director of the Department of Control, Supervision and Licensing in the field of cultural heritage of the Ministry of Culture.
Earlier, the deputy head of the Ministry of Communications, Alexei Volin, proposed to dismantle the Shukhov tower due to its emergency state.
The architectural monument Shukhovskaya tower is located on the balance of the Russian television and radio broadcasting network (RTRS). Vladimir Tsvetnov explained that security obligations have been concluded with RTRS, so the tower should be restored.
The head of the Moscow City Property Department, Vladimir Efimov, told Interfax that Moscow was not ready to take the Shukhov tower to his balance. According to the head of the Department of Cultural Heritage of Moscow, Alexander Kibovsky, the tower is federal property, so the issue of its restoration should be resolved at the federal level and at the expense of federal funds.
