President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych agrees to early elections, if this remains the only democratic way to resolve the political crisis in the country. According to RIA Novosti, this was stated by the presidential representative in the Verkhovna Rada Yuri Miroshnichenko on the air of the ICTV television channel.

“The president said that if we are here, politicians, now we will not be able to agree, then the only democratic way of how to resolve the situation is early elections,” Miroshnichenko said, clarifying that it is about changes in the constitution and elections of parliament and the president.

According to him, the power scenario of the resolution of the crisis is not considered, also there is also no question of announcing a state of emergency. "The president said:" We have all the possibilities in force to free the premises of the administrations and even free the Independence Square. But he said: “I will never go for it,” Miroshnichenko added.
