The ex-champion of the world in heavyweight according to WBA Russian Alexander Povetkin can conduct the nearest battle in May with American Travis Kauffman, ITAR-TASS reports.
It is assumed that the winner of the match will lead the rating of the World Boxing Association (WBA), the first line of which is still vacant.
In the WBA ranking, Povetkin is in third place. In total, the Russian citizen has 26 victories (18 knockout) and one defeat that Ukrainian Vladimir Klitschko inflicted in the title battle on October 5 last year in Moscow.
Travis Kauffman (28-1-0, 20 KOs), better known in boxing circles as a sparing partner, takes ninth place in the January rating. The biggest achievement of great white hope, it was such a nickname that Trevis took himself, is the insignificant WBA Fedelatin title, which he won in January in Pennsylvania.
