The former rector of the Russian Academy of Theater Arts died - GITIS - Marina Khmelnitskaya. This was reported on her page on the social network Facebook critic Marina Timasheva, who studied with Khmelnitskaya.
"Marina Yulievna Khmelnitskaya died, the most beautiful woman in the whole world. My beloved teacher, my teacher. Not only mine, of course. And not only with knowledge, I owe her, something much more important - not by profession, in life," Marina Timasheva wrote, expressing his condolences to her relatives.
The cause of death is not yet known, RIA Novosti notes. The date and place of farewell and funeral are also not reported.
Khmelnitskaya held the post of rector of GITIS from 2000 to 2009. She was relieved of the post of rector ahead of schedule. It was reported that this is due to administrative violations that were discovered when checking GITIS. After that, she remained working at the Academy, at the Department of History of the Theater of Russia.
According to the DEB of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in 2004-2009, Khmelnitskaya, who at that time headed the university, at the obviously low cost, leased its premises to the Moscow representative office of the German pharmaceutical company.
"The rental fee for the sector of the five -story GITIS hostel with a total area of 1.158 thousand square meters was $ 60 per month. According to preliminary estimates, the damage to the state budget amounted to over 56 million rubles," the press release spread in 2010 said.
On this fact, a criminal case was opened under part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (abuse of authority, punishment - up to four years in prison).
