Putin opened the IOC session

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the opening of the 126th session of the International Olympic Committee in Sochi, RIA Novosti reports.

The session will last until February 7 - the day of the opening of the Olympic Games.

According to Putin, at the end of the Games, Olympic objects and their infrastructure will form the basis of the first International Center for Winter Sports in Russia. There will be training in Russian national teams.

Putin also expressed gratitude to the IOC for faith in Russian athletes.
