Literature historian Sergey Shumikhin died

On Tuesday, February 4, at the 61st year of life, Sergey Viktorovich Shumikhin, an archivist and publisher, a long-term employee of RGALI, died.

It is reported by the Moscow Book Journal .

The historian of literature, source expert, compiler and commentator of a number of publications Sergey Shumikhin worked for about 20 years in the Russian State Archive of Literature and Art (RGALI, earlier TsGALI), specialized in Russian literature at the beginning of the 20th century.

Thanks to Sergei Shumikhin, many texts related to the history of Russian literature, primarily with the work of Boris Sadovsky, Vladislav Khodasevich, Sergey Yesenin, Mikhail Kuzmin, saw the light.

In particular, Sergey Shumikhin in collaboration with literary critic Nikolai Bogomolov prepared the diaries of Mikhail Kuzmin for publication.
