Orthodox youth ball will be held in Moscow

In Moscow on February 16, a youth charity ball will be held. The event is dedicated to the celebration of International Orthodox Youth Day and will be held within the IX Sretensky festival "Section 2014", the Blagovers-info agency reports with reference to the information of the Patriarchy.ru portal and the Moscow Patriarchate Department for Youth Affairs.

The organizers of the ball are the All-Russian Orthodox Youth Movement, the central vicarism of Moscow and the capital's temple of the Closed Elijah of the Prophet, on the Novgorod Compound in China-Gorod. The program, as noted in information, has been prepared taking into account the traditions and cultural features of events of this kind. In addition, it will include various contests for knowledge of etiquette and history of the Fatherland.

The festive event will be attended by responsible for the youth work in temples, pupils of military schools in the city of Moscow, as well as activists of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs and a number of Russian student public organizations.

Boys and girls aged 16 to 35 are invited to participate in the event. For participants from other regions, the possibility of preferential accommodation in a pilgrimage hotel is given.

The master classes on historical ballroom dances, as well as the etiquette and culture of communication, can be obtained at the school of Russian culture and etiquette "Kremlin Ball Dances" operating at the youth center of the Church of St. Elijah of the Prophet.

The grand opening of the evening will take place at 17.00 in the demonstration hall of the GUM trading house (Moscow, Red Square, 3).
