“The closer we get to the opening of the Olympics, the more hysteria in the foreign media about Russia is intensified. A number of very reputable publications published pre-Olympic editorials, accompanied by cartoons, including those depicting the Russian President. The signals that these media broadcast to their readers are very far from sports, and the tone of publications regarding the country hosting the Olympics is far from friendly. This is deplorable and demonstrates an unfriendly attitude towards Russia in the worst possible way. If there are isolated voices in Russia aimed at disrupting the Olympic Games, they come from circles that do not understand what the Olympic spirit is. These voices should not be taken seriously."

Half of the text is taken from today’s post on Echo by the prominent United Russia member Mr. Yakunin, and the second half is from the text of the prominent Nazi von Halt, head of the organizing committee of the 1936 Berlin Olympics.

In the second case, I simply replaced the word “Germany” with the word “Russia”. And agree, you didn’t notice the seam.
