On the rain disconnected, operators were sued

Today, February 10, the Consumer Rights Protection Service (OZPP) appealed to the Ostankino District Court of Moscow with a lawsuit in connection with the disconnection of the broadcast of the Rain television channel operators of cable networks.

The lawsuit was filed in defense of the indefinite circle of consumers, according to the OPP website . The defendants are the National Satellite Company CJSC, operating under the Tricolor TV brand, NTV-Plus OJSC, Akado-Capital CJSC and Vympel-Communion OJSC, operating under the Beeline brand.

The reason for applying to the court was the numerous complaints of consumers received by the OZPP, in which cable networks subscribers report violation of the terms of the contract by operators.

The largest cable television providers ceased to broadcast the rain of the Rain television channel after a survey conducted by him on the eve of the 70th anniversary of the lifting of the blockade of Leningrad and caused the indignation of deputies, officials and public figures-at first it was done by the online, “Akado”, “NTV-Plus” and “Rostelecom”, on January 31, “Beeline” joined them, February 3-February 3-February 3-February 31. "Tricolor TV" .

The OZPP believes that the exclusion of “rain” from the packages of television programs significantly worsens the consumer properties of the television broadcasting service and violates the rights of consumers who have concluded a subscriber agreement with the defendants.

In the filed claim, OZPP requires the obligation of the defendants to terminate illegal actions - the cessation of broadcasting of the Rain and Rain TV channels HD, included in the paid packages of television channels; To bring to consumers information about the court decision by placing the publication in the newspaper Rossiyskaya Gazeta within 10 days after the court decision comes into force.
