"Melody" released an unrelated Gilels

Today, February 17, a set of rare rare, including previously not published records of pianist Emil Gilels, was released by the Melody company.

The Box-Set "Emil Gilels in the 4CD ensembles" opens the anniversary series "Melodies" dedicated to the centenary of the musician, which will be celebrated in 2016. The kit came out with a circulation of one thousand copies.

“This is a unique publication, since it included not only the archival materials belonging to the“ melodies ”, but also records that have never been published before. We found them with the collectors, conducted a thorough restoration and now submit to the public court, ”said Andrei Krichevsky, General Director of the company Melody, RIA Novosti .

“These four discs contain almost all Emil Grigoryevich ensemble notes dating back to the 1940-50s, with the exception of the records of the famous Gilels-Kogan-Rostropovich trio, which were published in Canada and his later ensembles. These are numerous piano and chamber ensembles with the participation of brilliant performers of that time, including pianists Jacob Flier and Yakov Zach, violinist Elizabeth Gilels, Valtornist Yakov Shapiro, musicians of the Beethoven Quartet, ”said the pianist’s grandson Kirill Gilels.

He noted that there are special attention to records with the participation of Gilels, which have never been published before. This is the second suite for the two piano Rachmaninov, the four -handed Rondo Chopin, the pathetic concert of the sheet, the suite for two piano Leonid Nikolaev and the piano trio Andrei Babaev. All records were made in 1946-1959.

The set also includes records of rarely performed works by Saint-Sansa, Kui and Mozart in the editorial office of Buzoni.
