The chairman of the Union of Composers of Russia died

Today, February 17, in Moscow, at the age of 76, the chairman of the Union of Composers of Russia Vladislav Kazenin died.

It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Union of Composers. The place and date of the funeral are specified.

Vladislav Igorevich Kazenin was born in 1937 in Kirov, graduated from the Ural State Conservatory named after Mussorgsky in the class of composition and piano.

In 1966, he was elected responsible secretary of the Ural branch of the Union of Composers of the RSFSR. In 1968 he moved to Moscow. In 1971, he was elected the executive secretary of the Moscow composer organization, in 1973-the secretary of the board of the Union of Composers of the RSFSR.

Since 1986, he worked in the board of the Soviet Culture Fund, in 1987 he was appointed Deputy Minister of Culture of the USSR, in this position he worked until 1990. Since 1990, he headed the Union of Composers of Russia.

Vladislav Kazenin is the author of music to many performances, art and animated films, including Chipolino (1972), “Hello, I'm your aunt!” (1975), “Drill day - Monday” (1976), “Waiting” (1980).

PS Vladislav Kazenin will be buried in the Vagankovsky cemetery. Farewell will take place in the Moscow House of Composers on Thursday, February 20.
