On February 4, the judge of the Basmanny District Court of Moscow Arthur Karpov extended the arrest of Margolin until February 20. The investigation has already been completed, and now the "swamp prisoner" is getting acquainted with the materials of his business.

The court ruling says that Margolin "refuses to testify, which misleads the investigation." Another argument in favor of the extension of the arrest Karpov called that the accused "does not live by registration, thereby violating the passport regime." Before the arrest, Margolin lived with his wife and two daughters in his apartment, and was registered with his parents.

In the petition for the extension of the arrest, investigator Timofei Grachev also referred to certain “personality data” of Margolin, which were received in particular during operational-search measures.

Politzek himself petitioned for release on a recognizance not to leave or secured in the form of a two -room apartment. Representatives of the TFR and the prosecutor's office objected that Margolin did not provide accurate data on the cost of the apartment.

In his speech on February 4, the Swamp Prisoner emphasized that none of the arguments in favor of its maintenance in the pre -trial detention center was justified in accordance with the Code of Criminal Procedure. “I am aware of the severity of the accusations and I want to prove my innocence in court,” said the political prisoner. “I have never hidden, I have no point in hiding because I want to prove my case. I raised children, worked in my specialty and enjoyed great authority. I did not do any criminal activity.”

The defense of Margolina also referred to the decision of the Plenum of the Supreme Court of December 19, 2013 , which explains the procedure for applying a preventive measure for criminal cases. To prove the existing danger of bribery or pressure on witnesses, it is necessary to give at least one example of such an attempt, the Supreme Council says.

Margolin is 42 years old, he is a candidate of economic sciences. Before the arrest, there was a deputy director for economics of the Media Center -Art Publishing House.

Margolin is charged with part 2 of Article 212 (participation in the riots) and part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code (the application of non -hazardous violence to a representative of the authorities). His case was combined into one proceedings with the affairs of the nationalist Ilya Gushchina and activist of the anti -fascist movement of Alexei Gaskarov, as well as pensioners Elena Kokhtareva. The latter recently pleaded guilty, most likely its business will be considered in a special order. Kokhtareva is under the subscription about the loss.
