SFoma took 10th place in the Webometrics rating

The Siberian Federal University took 10th position among Russian universities and 1028 positions in the world in the new ranking of university sites according to the Webometrics research organization. Compared to the previous rating, which was published in July 2013, the SFU rose immediately by 272 points.

Note that the Webometrics international rating has been published since 2004 twice a year. The criteria for analyzing university sites are, in particular, the number of external links, the number of indexed pages and the citation index.

Webometrics does not analyze the educational activities of universities in general, but the representation of the university in Internet space. Webometrics rating allows indirectly evaluating the research achievements of universities through a comparison of their Internet sites.

In the Webometrics rating, over 20,000 universities in the world are assigned. Of the other Siberian universities, the TOP-20 included NSU (3rd place), TSU (11th place), TPU (12th place), NSTU (16th place).
