The first of the six sites for festival exhibitions will be the multimedia art museum (mamm).
On the example of one museum, all the main topics of the festival will be reflected: “Great Britain in Focus”, “Star Sky” and “Visual Power” (“The Strength of Visual Art”), ITAR-TASS reports.
The focus of the organizers of the UK festival and British photography are not only because 2014 was declared the Cross The Culture of Great Britain and Russia, but also because the history of the entire world photography is traced on the example of the work of British photographers and portraits of England itself.
The exhibition of the Tate Gallery “Another London” will present the view of the English capital of the masters of the photographs of non-British descent-Jacques-Henri Lartig, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Martina Frank, Robert Frank, Dora Maar, Emil Khoppe, Ellitt Ervitt, Bill Brandt, Irwin Penn, Wolfgang Sushitsky.
Also in the mamm, the personal exhibition “Women is Beautiful” will open the classic of American and world photography by Harry Vinograd (1928–1984). His exhibitions were held in many countries, but in Russia his work will be represented for the first time.
The third exhibition will be the retrospective of Erwin Blumenfeld (1897–1969), which is called one of the founders of modern fashion photography. The exhibition of the exhibition includes documents, drawings, collages, installations, photos and advertising films.
In just three months of work-until May 25-19 exhibitions will be held at the Photobiennale-2014. The organizers of the festival are the Moscow Government, the Department of Culture of Moscow, Mamm and the Moscow House of photography.
