The head of the Baikonur Cosmodrome, the director of the South South South Cosmic Center, Yevgeny Anisimov, he left his post, Kommersant reports . The department explains the resignation with personal reasons. However, the newspaper sources say that he did not fit into the new head of the Federal Space Agency Oleg Ostapenko. The departmental commission will determine the procedure for transferring the affairs of his successor to the Tuesday.

According to a senior source in Roscosmos, Anisimov was called to Moscow with Baikonur to talk with Ostapenko on February 15. In the reception manager of the agency, he was recommended to release the post, writing an appropriate statement. The Yuzhny Center is part of the Operation Center for the ground and space infrastructure (Tsenki). Anisimov went from the reception to the immediate boss - acting CEO of the center Sergei Lazarev. There, Anisimov wrote a statement asking him to "transfer him to another job."

The press secretary of the head of Roscosmos Irina Zubareva confirmed to Kommersant that Anisimov wrote a statement. At the same time, she emphasized that the decision is connected "with personal circumstances."

Former Deputy Defense Minister Ostapenko headed Roscosmos in early October, replacing Vladimir Popovkin in this position. Two months earlier, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev announced Popovkin a reprimand. This happened shortly after the accident of the Proton-M launch vehicle on Baikonur, which fell in the first minute of the start.

Two weeks later, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev dismissed the first deputy head of Roscosmos Oleg Frolov. As stated at the disposal, he left his post of his own free will.
